On behalf of the whole school community, I am delighted to introduce you to Sauncey Wood Primary School.   We are a vibrant, diverse school where children are enthusiastic and motivated to grow their curious minds. The children are at the heart of every decision we make to ensure that they are happy, confident, secure and that opportunities provided for them are relevant to their development both now and in the future.
 
At Sauncey Wood, we believe that children should be curious about their learning. Our aim is to ‘GROW CURIOUS MINDS’ through our engaging, personalised curriculum; we ensure that children can foster a passion for learning that will help to develop high aspirations and a lifetime of memories.  We believe in ensuring that children receive a well-rounded and inspiring curriculum, where individual talents can be spotted and nurtured to ensure that all children experience success and reach their full potential.
 
We build resilience, reflection, cooperation, mindfulness, perseverance and curiosity; we believe in providing opportunities for children to develop characteristics for effective learning and for life. We are innovative, aspirational and consistent in our holistic approach, constantly reflecting on our practice. We ensure learning is creative, stimulating, inclusive and fun with lots of challenge, setting ambitious goals for all to rise to.  The school has a dedicated team that works hard to reach high standards in everything we do and this is further embedded through our successful relationships with parents and the local and wider community.  We firmly believe that education is a partnership between home and school and regard YOU as an active partner in your child's education and we value your interest and support.
 
The aim of our website is to give you lots of information about our school, the staff and the many opportunities that our children are given through our curriculum and our extra-curricular activities.  It will change over time as we update information and add new details, but can never replace the first-hand experience of coming to visit us, so please do contact the office to come and tour the school if you are interested in your child joining us.
